Last year I worked with the highly talented Emma Mawston to use her bee print on our summer shirts. It was a great success and so I’m delighted that we’re working together again this summer.
She has a very particular and painstaking way of working which we’ve shown here. Every detail is drawn by hand and layered. Emma has drawn inspiration from 24 gardeners, from Tresco to the Scottish highlands. Each has nominated their favourite plant. I love Arthur Parkinson’s choice of the allium, always a great splash of drama and colour. This vibrant pattern is, of course, all about the bees so look out them as they buzz from bloom to bloom.
